Our Travel Protection Plan

Life happens along the way

A new grandchild, an unexpected wedding invite, a retirement party, or a major family get-together; you don’t want to miss out on important events and still travel on the trip of a lifetime.

We offer Travel Protection in partnership with Trip Mate, which can help you navigate the unexpected by protecting your investment:

PART A*: BENEFITS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL:

  • Non-insurance trip Cancellation waiver
  • Cancel For Any Reason: If you must cancel your trip, even up to the day of departure, you’ll retain the full value of your trip, including your deposit. You will be reimbursed in cash for certain specified reasons; for any other reason other than a specified reason, you can receive a travel voucher. (See plan documents here).
  • No Age Restrictions: Our prices will never go up based on age, unlike other plans which may have a higher plan cost.
  • Pre-Existing Medical Condition: Retain up to 100% cash reimbursement of your trip cost if you need to cancel due to any pre-existing medical condition. You must be able to travel at the time you purchase this plan, and you must buy the plan within 14 days of making your initial trip deposit.

It is important to have your coverage prior to traveling and while you are on your adventure

PART B TRAVEL BENEFITS**:

Expect the unexpected

Flight delays; missed connections; baggage delayed, lost, or damaged; a medical emergency—be prepared for unexpected events with our Travel Protection Plan.

  • Trip Interruption: We protect up to 150% of Trip Cost (more than the price of your trip) in the event of a trip interruption, while other plans cover the base cost your trip.
  • The plan also includes many covered reasons, with Covid-19 treated the same as any other sickness under the plan. This coverage includes the insured, their traveling companion(s), and their family members.
  • Trip Delay: Provides benefits up to $300 per day (up to $1,500) for reasonable expenses—such as meals, lodging, and additional transportation—when you are delayed twelve consecutive hours or more for a covered reason.
  • Missed Connection: Up to $1,500.
  • Baggage Delay: $250 per day, up to $1,000.
  • Baggage & Personal Effects: Up to $3,000.

    Medical Expense

  • Accident & Sickness Medical Expense: Up to $50,000 in medical expenses and $750 in emergency dental expenses.
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment: Up to $25,000.
  • Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains: Up to $500,000 in medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.

Please note: Maximum amounts may vary by state. Please visit the Trip Mate website for details.

24-hour Non-insurance Emergency Assistance

“The way things are in the world now, you just can’t take a chance anymore. I have taken many trips, and I’ve always used the Traveler Protection Plan for myself and my travel companions—and I’ve never regretted it one bit. It may seem like trip protection is an added expense, but it’s worth it in the end when you have to use it—that’s when it becomes truly valuable.”
Jane Hart, 20-time traveler from Bluffton, SC
