We just completed a trip on the Arethusa. In talking to the Captain (whom we had on a prior Athena cruise), we learned that none of the small ships (Arethusa, Athena and Artemis) carry an AED (automated defibrillator)! I cannot believe, in this day and age, that GCT doesn't carry AEDs on ALL their ships. Since we got this from the Captain, I'm sure it's true, at least for these three identical ships - not sure about the river cruises.

In today's world, these are almost essential for any place where people gather, and especially so for a situation like this considering the average age of travelers.

Come on GCT - put AEDs on your ships!

I agree with garyrr that AEDs on all ships would be a great idea.  I  never thought of this before, so thanks for getting this idea out there to GCT.
