  • With our Travel Protection Plan, you can cancel your vacation at any time and for any reason—up until the day of departure—and retain the full value of your vacation, including your deposit and excluding the cost of the Travel Protection Plan itself. Read more about why Grand Circle’s Travel Protection Plan is among the best in the industry.

  • For most trips, you are not required to have travel protection. For new bookings starting 1/1/25, Grand Circle requires travelers on select Small Ships that visit remote locations provide proof of travel protection with Medical Evacuation coverage of at least $200,000 and Medical Expense coverage of at least $50,000. If you purchase our Travel Protection Plan, this requirement is covered. If you do not purchase our Travel Protection Plan, Grand Circle will require proof of coverage prior to your departure.

  • Yes. You can purchase Travel Protection for the Land Tour only portion of your trip. Any travel arrangements not booked through Grand Circle directly are not covered with the Travel Protection Plan. Travelers should contact their airlines directly if they would like to purchase protection for flights booked on their own.
  • If you purchase our Travel Protection Plan within 14 days of the date your trip deposit is received, you will be covered for pre-existing conditions under the Cancellation Waiver. If you purchase the plan after 14 days, however, and you need to cancel because of a pre-existing condition (or any other reason not covered by the plan), you'll receive a Grand Circle travel voucher for the penalty amount—so you'll still retain the value of your adventure.   • No. You must purchase the Travel Protection Plan before your final payment is due (90 days prior to departure). If you reserve your trip less than 90 days from departure, both your final payment and Travel Protection Plan purchase are due at the time of booking.
