We are going to S. Africa in December 2010 and are wondering what type of clothes we should take. I assume shorts are okay during the day, but what about evenings? And should we take a light jacket for cool evenings, or is it warm that time of year. Also, what type of bug spray, and are malaria pills necessary? Lots of questions, so I hope someone can help me out.

Carla - I'm taking the Kenya/Tanzania trip in July 2011.  Any tips on what type of clothing to take would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
