What we do
Grand Circle’s family of travel companies helps to change people’s lives throughout the world—from our discovery-rich journeys for American travelers over 50 by land and sea, centered around meaningful cultural connections, to the philanthropic work we do overseas and here at home.
Our Grand Circle family includes:
Grand Circle Cruise Line (GCCL)
Our River Cruises offer active American travelers over 50 the perfect balance of cultural immersion and value, all while traveling on intimate, privately-owned ships (86-162 passengers). With small group sizes of no more than 47, you’ll explore Europe’s iconic capitals and charming towns in a way that larger cruises can’t match. Each journey is led by a knowledgeable local Program Director, who’ll guide you through authentic cultural experiences that foster camaraderie and unforgettable moments.
Grand Circle Travel (GCT)
Grand Circle Travel offers active American travelers over 50 a chance to explore the world in a way that’s both enriching and comfortable. Our journeys strike the perfect balance between iconic sights and authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences. In groups of no more than 42, you’ll go beyond the typical tourist experience—meeting local families, exploring local life behind the scenes, and immersing yourself in the culture.
Overseas Adventure Travel (O.A.T.)
O.A.T. is the leader in small group adventure, both by land and small ship. On our Land Adventures, you’ll explore in small groups of no more than 16 (average of 13) like-minded American travelers, journeying off the beaten path to towns, villages, and communities that most travelers miss, slipping into the flow of local life without disrupting it. And on our Small Ship Adventures, you’ll travel in groups of no more than 25 (average of 22) aboard one of our 14- to 98-passenger privately-owned or chartered ships, sailing directly into small ports that larger cruise ships can’t reach.
Whichever style of travel you prefer, you’ll journey with an expert Trip Experience Leader—a resident of the region you’re exploring, who can connect you with its unique culture like only an insider can as you participate in exclusive people-to-people cultural connections.
Grand Circle Foundation (GCF)
Founded in 1992, the Grand Circle Foundation was created to give back to the world that has provided us with so many opportunities. Together with the Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation, the Grand Circle Foundation has committed or donated $250 million to over 500 projects across 60 countries, as well as in our local communities of Boston and New Hampshire.
