Soaked Penguins and Mating Seals

Posted on 12/19/2017 12:00:00 AM in What We’re Watching

A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

Antarctica is one of the coldest, windiest places on Earth. In the summer, temperatures often dip below 32 degrees. So it’s no surprise that only the toughest, most steadfast of creatures can survive in this arctic landscape. In South Georgia, the Earth Touch crew meets some of the Antarctic wild, including a colony of fur seals and some young penguins ready to shed their warm, brown fur. Then of course there are those monolithic icebergs, reminding them—and us—of how vast and precious this world is.

Produced by Vanessa Stephen and Kirsten Horne
