Rudy Maxa: Sicily

Posted on 1/31/2017 2:27:00 PM in What We’re Watching

A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

Rudy Maxa makes his way through Sicily on an extensive trek in this episode of SmartTravels. Sicily’s history is replete with accounts—both mythical and factual—of war and conquest, prosperity, and artistic growth. Towns like Catania, Agrigento, and Syracuse stand as living proof of durable past civilizations and their multicultural influences. Remnants of the Ancient World very much pervade the modern era, almost as if the two times coexist symbiotically. I wonder what the next few thousand years of habitation will bring to Sicily.
