Rudy Maxa: Greek Islands

Posted on March 07, 2017 in What We’re Watching

A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

Rudy Maxa travels throughout the blissful Cyclades among Greece’s Aegean Sea in this episode of SmartTravels. There are well over one thousand Greek Islands. Where to go? With 360-degree access to sea views and fresh air on every island, I don’t think you can go wrong. Santorini boasts a distinct geology, a crescent shape can be attributed to the several volcanic eruptions throughout the millennia. The Thera eruption was an especially catastrophic event here. It formed a caldera, while destroying the Minoan settlement of Akrotiri. The settlement was excavated in 1967.
