Rudy Maxa: Amsterdam & the Netherlands

Posted on 9/13/2016 2:27:00 PM in What We’re Watching

A note from our curator, independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

Travel writer and columnist Rudy Maxa delves into the rich history of the Amsterdam and the greater Netherlands region in this episode of SmartTravels. Beginning in Amsterdam and working his way south through The Hague and Delft, Rudy observes Dutch life as a cosmopolitan and multicultural mecca. International influences can be seen almost everywhere, from the Delftware ceramics that were adapted from Chinese decorative practices, to the art and architecture displayed in museums and alongside central canals, to the varied cuisines served in cafes and restaurants. There is certainly something for everyone in the Netherlands.
