A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:
In this film, we explore Malta’s capital city, Valletta. The layout of the city streets and the pale yellow limestone buildings would have us believe we are in Italy, but make no mistake: this is Malta. We hear from a few local Maltese residents about their island, located in the bright blue waters off the southern tip of Sicily. Known to be incredibly friendly to visitors, the Maltese, like many islanders, are fiercely proud to be a part of a tight community. The island has been influenced and claimed by a long list of nations throughout its history, but they have always maintained their own way of life and even their own language, Maltese. Check it out!
