A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:
Photographer and videographer Stian Rekdal uses motion controlled timelapses to present the immeasurable natural beauty of Iceland’s landscapes. Both endurance and change are evident in these images. Jagged mountains and sea cliffs hold firm ground, while the movement of ice and water carry us away. The combination is poetic and evocative. I find it easy to imagine I’m visiting an uninhabited island in the North Atlantic 20,000 years ago.
