I like films like this one, which capture and celebrate a time and place not through a glamorous, idealized lens, but through the lens of everyday life. Here, people file onto buses and pull their young down cobbled streets, weigh produce for purchase, practice baseball in the street, or lace up their boots alongside their farm horses. This takes me into a Cuban state of mind, indeed.
