Dylan Thuras is back to share yet another international rarity: Tashirojima, or as it is notoriously known, Cat Island. Tashirojima is one of a handful of Japanese Islands that is overrun with cats. In fact, on Tashirojima, cats outnumber human residents. An overwhelming majority of the island’s (human) inhabitants are elderly, classifying it as a “terminal village” that anticipates an imminent population decrease.
