The day is yours in Seattle, after ending your Northwest National Parks base trip. You can return to Pike Place Farmers Market for more of its bustling activity, or you can choose to ascend the Space Needle (built for the 1962 World's Fair) for a spectacular panoramic view of the city's lovely setting from its 502-foot observation platform. Or, spend time in Pioneer Square, which was formerly the city's Skid Row district.
Today, you may choose to tour one of the many wineries outside of the city, and sample local varieties of wine. Or, simply use your time to explore Seattle. Visit Chinatown, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, and browse the markets and specialty shops. Discover the brewpubs and vintage clothing stores of the eclectic Fremont neighborhood. Or, stroll through downtown Seattle, pausing to take a break in one of the city’s many coffee shops.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
