My friend and I are booked on this trip, departing the U. S. on Feb. 5, with the post-trip to Jordan. Questions:

(1) Could anyone who has been on this trip during this time frame (February/winter) tell me what the weather was like when you were there? I know that it can vary a bit, but we are trying to decide what kind of clothes to take. Did you have any cool/cold days or nights at all? What were the temps during the day?

We are thinking of taking  a few pairs of jeans and also maybe a pair or two of cropped pants (about mid-calf length) for warmer days. Does this sound about right and acceptable wear (esp. the cropped pants)? Would those nylon hiking pants be better than the jeans? Help!!

(2) Anyone else going on this trip at that time?
