Is the weather in Egypt during the month of August unbearably hot?  Would September/October be a better time to travel to Egypt?

Look at http://www.gct.com/Regions/Middle-East/Egypt/When-To-Go.aspx for what GCT has to say about weather in Egypt.  I couldn't find any GCT or OAT trips to Egypt in July or August and I suspect the heat is a major reason they don't go then.

"Is the weather in Egypt during the month of August unbearably hot? "

It was so hot at the pyraminds in early October when I went that the vendors were doing a brisk business selling hats. Some people put their shirts over their heads and others were using umbrellas for shade. So, yes I think August would be unbearably hot.

"Would September/October be a better time to travel to Egypt?"

Yes, and the later in October the better.

My husband and I went to Egypt in May of last year and the weather was very hot.    March, April, October, and November seem to be the best times to travel to Egypt.  Your GCT brochures will enlighten you even more because they do list the weather for each month in them.

Has anybody been to Egypt/Jordan in February? My friend and I leave Feb. 5 on the trip, and we picked it because we thought it might be "cooler" then.
