why did gct take so long to  refund a cancelled trip, last time i had to wait over two months for a refund, and it only happend after i called again.  this time cancelled two trips since I was dissatified with my last t rip, and told refund would be 7 days, called after two weeks, and told there was a computer problem, and would get my refund in 7 - 10 days.

gct is quick to bill your credit card when you book, but likes to hold onto funds from a cancelled trip as long as they can.  bad policy

Pauline -

I think these were self-cancelled trips - he says, "this time cancelled two trips since I was dissatified with my last trip" -    that sounds like it was his choice.

Am I missing something here?  Why does he think he's entitled to money back if it was his choice?

Unless you cancel less than 30 days before departure, you will get some of your money back. The amount of the refund is determined by the number of days before departure.

We have received credits many times on fully paid trips, usually from referals obtained and applied after the payment was made. GCT and OAT process credits once a month, so depending upon where you are in the cycle, without any other delays, it can  up to a month for the credit to be issued to your account, As we do not charge our trips , but rather pay by EFT, we have to check our bank account for payment. There has never been an undue delay or the need to chase down a credit. We have also, unfortunately, had to cancel 2 insured trips for medical reasons and credit was issued to our bank account within less than a month. We have also had credits issued to us, due to price reductions on fully paid trips, that were promptly credited to our bank account. I beleive that the credit date is about 10th day into the new month and the credits appeared promptly after that, usually before we were aware that we were even due a credit.

Except for minor billing errors, which were promptly resolved, we have never had a billing or credit issue with GCT/OAT in 14 trips taken, 2 paid for and cancelled for illness reasons and 2 paid for but not taken yet.
