 If you have flown on Qantas and have a FF account and received a notice that your miles are expiring unless you use them, you can donate them to charity. Qantas has great rewards, but they won't ship them to the US. We had 20,600 miles each and donated them via the Qantas site to Unicef. as gift cards. The donation was 175 Australian dollars or about 160 US$ each. It's a lot better than letting them expire. Wouldn't it be nice if GCF had a way to collect unused FF miles.

 Just sayin'.... Qantas is a member of the "One World" group. You can get American Airlines' AAdvantage miles on Qantas flights per:
