Have you taken the Cuba trip? We will be leaving in a week or so, and would appreciate hearing from you. Pitfalls to avoid, things to be sure to do,etc.

If you are going with us, you might like to pick up Havana, by Christopher P. Baker ISBN 978-1-59880-540-6. It is a Moon Spotlight guide.

We took the Oct. 6 trip.  Pitfalls?  We didn't encounter any.  Things to do:  do everything that's on the program; you will enjoy and learn from them all. Flip-side is there's very little time to do anything on your own. We got up early and walked in Havana before departure time, to see a little more of the city up close, such as the beautiful boulevard outside the Saratoga Hotel and the park across the street; back in Havana at the National, you are actually very close to  Old Havana and could walk there for further exploration, if you have the time and energy. Many in our group enjoyed the on-your-own evening nightclub outings, but we were too pooped!  Walking on your own in Trinidad is also a delight, and there is a little time available for this. Have a wonderful time!
