I'd be curious to know what is going on with the River Anuket and it's crew. I noticed it on this site offering cruises in 2012. Obviously it is the same ship that I have been on before with GCT.

 it may very well be the same ship.  Grand Circle doesn't own those boats, we believe, and since Grand Circle/OAT aren't planning Egypt trips for 2012( and likely 2013 ), for obvious reasons, the ship still has to make money.  As you have probably surmised, not every tour operator puts the safety of its clients ahead of making money.  At least Grand Circle does.

I was under the impression that the ship was owned by GCT.

Cruise Critic's review would seem to indicate the same impression..."The boat itself was purpose-built for the Nile in 2001 by Grand Circle Travel."

But I suppose only GCT knows for sure, perhaps they would be kind enough to respond to my inquiry.
