DAY 3 Hungarian Parliament
Price: $85 per person
Join us on an optional tour as we visit the magnificent Parliament building—the third largest in Europe, with over 600 rooms and 12 miles of corridors—and then stop at a cafe for coffee and cake. We'll see more of Budapest as we venture on to an additional discovery of one of its famous sights.
DAY 4 Medieval Hungary
Price: $90 per person
Today's optional Medieval Hungary tour takes you to the historic town of Esztergom, birthplace of the first Hungarian king and site of a Roman fortress. Later in Visegrad, you'll visit the Renaissance Palace Museum and have a delicious meal of medieval royal recipes.
DAY 5 Hungarian Jewish Heritage tour
Price: $50 per person
Join us for an optional tour exploring the Hungarian Jewish Heritage. We'll visit the Great Synagogue (the largest in Europe, Moorish but with Byzantine, Romantic and Gothic elements), the Emanuel Memorial Tree—a sculpture in the form of a weeping-willow tree memorial to Hungarian victims of the Holocaust—and the Jewish Museum. Then, visit the Kazinczy street orthodox synagogue—the center of traditional orthodox Jewish life here. You'll have some free time to explore the Jewish district and then return to your ship.
DAY 6 Traditions of the Hungarian Countryside
Price: $80 per person
Join us for an optional Traditions of the Hungarian Countryside tour to Kalocsa. This tour includes a visit to a local church with an included organ concert. We'll also visit a Paprika Museum, and a village house museum. After some free time to stroll the village you'll transfer to Bakodpuszta to enjoy a horse show followed by a carriage ride.
DAY 8 Serbian Wedding
Price: $75 per person
Today's optional tour will take you to a local Belgrade restaurant, where you'll be treated to a folklore show highlighting Serbian wedding traditions—including kolo (or "circle") dancing and "bartering" for the bridge. You'll enjoy snacks as a local guide narrates the lively details of the traditional Serbian nuptials.
