Can I tell the Foundation how I'd like my donation to be used?
Absolutely. As a donor, you have the following options:
- Make a general donation to support the work of the Grand Circle Foundation
- Make a donation to a specific country to which OAT or Grand Circle travels
- Make a donation to a specific school or organization supported by Grand Circle Foundation
Simply include a note with your donation specifying where you’d like us to direct it.
Is my donation tax deductible and what is the Foundation’s administrative fee?
Donations made to Grand Circle Foundation are tax deductible (Federal Tax Number is 04-3175434). The Foundation is a 501(c) (3) Private Nonoperating Foundation.
The Foundation has zero administration fee and 100% of donations are forwarded to the schools and organizations supported by Grand Circle Foundation.
Can I purchase and send items directly to Grand Circle Foundation or the schools you support?
Please do not send items you wish to donate to a Grand Circle Foundation site to our Boston office. The Foundation does not have a shipping budget to send these items to their intended recipient. In addition, we discourage you from sending donated items directly to these international sites because the schools and organizations we support do not have the means to pay for customs duties and transportation to collect the items.
Prior to your trip, if you wish, you may choose to bring along a few items for the school or community visit, such as pencils, chalk, or other school or sports supplies. Your pre-trip Travel Handbook will outline the types of items needed or requested.
After you’ve returned from your trip, if you’d like to make a donation to a school or organization you visited that’s supported by Grand Circle Foundation, we can only accept donations by check.
Can I sponsor a specific child I met at a school sponsored by Grand Circle Foundation?
At this time, Grand Circle Foundation is not able to manage sponsorship of specific children. You can, however, support a child by donating to a specific school.

Your GCT pre-trip Travel Handbook includes information about the types of items that are most needed and appreciated by the schools and organizations supported by Grand Circle Foundation.
