Discover the Mediterranean aboard our privately owned 50-passenger, 4-star plus vessels
Cruise the Mediterranean aboard our richly appointed, custom-built small ships—which were designed to carry just two groups of 25 passengers, each with its own dedicated Program Director. The M/V Athena, Arethusa, and Artemis are ideally suited for exploring the scenic shores and idyllic islands of the Aegean and Adriatic
Navigate into smaller ports, bringing you closer to the real culture of less-traveled locales
With their mellow teak decks, and well-appointed public areas, these small ships, which are fully owned, operated, and staffed by Grand Circle Cruise Line, emphasize comfort, while providing access to smaller island ports larger ships simply cannot go, allowing you to witness—and join—the daily life of the local people.
Settle into your private cabin with balcony—designed with American standards in mind—each evening
Each of these vessels feature 18 cabins on the Upper Deck, all measuring approximately 150 to 170 sq. ft. plus 30 sq. ft. en suite baths with showers. These cabins also feature large sliding-glass doors opening to private balconies for relaxing in the open air. The six cabins on the Main Deck also average 150 to 170 sq. ft. and feature portholes that may be opened. The two single cabins, located adjacent to the crew’s cabins on the lower decks, are approximately 140 sq. ft. in size with fixed port holes. Each cabin features a private bath with shower, movable beds that are accessible throughout the day, a flat-screen TV with CNN, telephone, safe, mini-fridge, individually controlled air-conditioning, hair dryer, and dual electrical outlets.
Enjoy the spacious Sun Deck—a place to relax and meet new friends
Your small ship’s public area’s include the spacious Sun Deck where you can lie back and catch the breezes or just admire stunning views of the islands of the Mediterranean with your fellow travelers—perhaps with a cocktail from the outdoor buffet/bar. On some overnights, you’ll enjoy open-air dining as you look out over the fortified gates of a perfectly preserved medieval town.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the comfort and safety of coastal cruising
As your small ship navigates along the coast of the region you’re exploring—rather than cruising through rougher open ocean waters—you can rest assured knowing you’re not far from the shore, sailing alongside private yachts rather than larger cruise ships.
Gain an up-close perspective of the local culture—by day and night
After your day’s explorations, perhaps you’ll enjoy the ease of venturing off your ship to sample the area’s local culture by night—in many instances, we’re docked directly in the port’s town center. Plus, you’ll have ample time to explore on your own, as we spend more time docked in these ports than other cruise lines.
Enjoy personal and dedicated service from a gracious onboard crew
Our small ships feature an international crew of 21, meaning that you’ll receive dedicated, personal service throughout your cruise. After your first day aboard, members of our friendly team will already know your name. And while our staff and crew members are fluent in English, you’ll appreciate the wide range of nationalities represented. Trained and supervised by Grand Circle Cruise Line—with American standards of quality service in mind—our crew are committed to your complete comfort and safety.
