Discover Antarctica aboard our privately chartered, all-suite Corinthian in 2013
Experience Antarctica’s natural grandeur to the fullest from the comfort of your 112-passenger small ship—outfitted with the latest in navigational and safety technology. Each spacious cabin is actually a suite with sitting area, complete with ocean views and private bath. Relaxing common areas and a window-lined dining room provide congenial spaces for your small group to get to know each other as you cruise.
Relax in your comfortable, outside suite
The Corinthian , refurbished in 2005, carries four groups of 28 travelers (each with its own Program Director) in 56 suites, each measuring at least 225 square feet. Each suite affords ocean views, is appointed with a sitting area or separate living room, twin or queen-size beds, spacious closets, and climate control. Suites also feature satellite TV, a DVD/CD player, telephone, mini-refrigerator, a marble-appointed bathroom with toiletries and teak floor, robes, and slippers.
Settle in, relax—and make new friends—in your ship’s common areas
The ship’s public areas are decorated with rich fabrics, handsome wood, polished brass, and fine works of art. Onboard, you can enjoy the dining room, library with Internet access, two lounges, a small fitness center, boutique, and two sun decks. The ship also has an elevator that serves all five passenger decks and a small medical clinic.
Savor distinctive dining for a distinctive voyage
Your ship features a bright and welcoming restaurant where you’ll enjoy all meals during your nine-night cruise. Whether for casual buffets or more formal sit-down affairs, your small group will enjoy gathering together for splendid dining experiences provided by your onboard chef and professional crew. Continental dishes are often complemented with a selection of South American delicacies. And your fine dining will be accompanied by complimentary house wine, beer, and soft drinks during both lunch and dinner.
Enjoy dedicated service from your team of seasoned professionals
The Corinthian has a crew of 66, including European officers, an international crew, and a six-member Expedition Team to ensure that you are safe and well taken care of throughout your voyage. Weather conditions will ultimately determine the itinerary, of course. But whenever the seasoned Captain and crew determine it’s safe, you’ll board sturdy Zodiac craft for awe-inspiring wildlife viewings and “wet” landings, made all the more vivid through the expertise of your Expedition Team.
