In general. use a travel clinic, not your personal physician. He/she can be used for recommendations to a travel clinic or specialist and a referral for insunrance purpose, but, in general, he would not have all of the information based on locations within countries and seasonality of risk, and especially would not have all of the vacines on hand, as a travrl clinic would. I'm not sure what we took specifically for China, as we supply the travel clinic with our wish list of trips for the next few years to save on repeat visits, and most vaccines last for several years. I would guess that at, a minimum, you would need a polio booster, MMR, DPT, Hep-A and Hep-B.
