Special Awards & Daily Rewards: The Joys of a Job Well Done
People who love what they do are motivated by passion, not awards—but it still feels pretty good to be recognized for your efforts. That’s how I felt when I learned that Grand Circle Cruise Line has not only once again made Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Gold List of “World’s Best River Cruise Lines,” but has been included in the Platinum Circle—an honor reserved for repeat winners. In fact, our overall score was the highest of any cruise line offering either ocean or river cruises. What a way to start the new year!
We ended 2012 on a similarly positive note, having been ranked #1 “World’s Best River Cruise Line” in the 2012 Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards. It’s the first time we took the top spot, but the eighth year in a row we’ve made the list. For me, the most thrilling part is knowing that once again it’s all thanks to travelers like you. Because our travelers took the time to vote and share their love of Grand Circle, they’ve introduced countless others to our cruises and let us know we’re doing something right. It’s part of the open and honest communication we like to encourage, one of the reasons why we welcome feedback—both positive and constructive—from things like post-trip surveys. Looking ahead, as our first ships depart for 2013 and as we announce departure dates for 2014, all of us at Grand Circle Cruise Lines will strive to keep creating the best vacations because we love what we do.
