How do I become a Vacation Ambassador?
It's easy! Chances are, you're already doing the most important part—talking about your travels with friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues. If they're inspired to join us based on the experiences you've shared, all you need to do is make sure they mention your name and Customer Number when they reserve their first trip with Grand Circle or our sister company, Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT).
Then, within four weeks after your new travelers depart for their trip, we'll send you $100 in CASH or credit for each person you referred. New for 2012, starting with the 4th traveler you refer departing in 2012, we'll send you $200 in CASH or credit for each person. Once you refer 8 or more travelers departing in either 2012 or 2013, you’ll earn a FREE trip valued up to $4500 per household.
How soon can I become a Vacation Ambassador?
Right away. In fact, you don't even have to have returned from your first trip in order to begin referring new travelers. You can start spreading the word about Grand Circle and OAT as soon as you make your first reservation with us!
Do my friends receive anything for reserving a trip?
YES. Each first-time traveler you refer to us will receive $100 in instant savings on their first Grand Circle vacation or OAT adventure. All they have to do is mention your name and Customer Number when they make their reservation. Plus, they'll receive $200 savings off their next Grand Circle Cruise Line River Cruise, Grand Circle Cruise Line Small Ship CruiseTour, or OAT Small Ship Adventure—or $100 off Grand Circle or OAT Land Vacations—if they reserve a second trip within 60 days of returning from their first trip.
Can the people I refer travel without me?
YES. You do not need to travel with the individuals you refer, and they can travel on any Grand Circle vacation or OAT adventure they choose (even if it's not one you specifically spoke to them about). As long as they mention your name and Customer Number, you'll earn your CASH or credit rewards.
When do I get my CASH or credit payment?
You can choose between CASH or credit for payment for every new traveler you refer to Grand Circle (or OAT). Your default payment selection is set at credit, so if you’d like to receive credit for payment, no action is required.
If you prefer CASH for payment, you will have to initiate a change to your account. Simply visit our website and sign in to My Account and make your selection, or call us toll-free at 1-866-321-2835 to speak to one of our Customer Service Representatives. CASH payments are issued in the form of a check and will be mailed on the fifth of the month following your new traveler's departure. You can track your referrals online through the My Account feature on our website.
Please note: To comply with IRS regulations, you will also receive a Form 1099; you are required to provide your Social Security number and report the total refund bonus you earned for any tax year in which you receive more than $600 for referring new travelers.
What if the people I talk to want details on a particular trip? What do I tell them?
You can direct them to our websites, where they can find all the specifics they need to decide which trip is best for them, including videos of the places we travel.
