Post-Trip: Paris, France

3 nights from only $695

Often referred to as the "City of Light," the French capital is one of Europe's most stunning and influential metropolitan centers. With renowned landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, and Basilica of the Sacre Coeur, as well as world-famous art museums—including the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Musee National d'Art Moderne—the scale of its historic and cultural influence remains unmatched. And when you combine that with the romance, style, and "je ne sais quoi" that define all things Parisian, it's no wonder this city has long been one of the world's leading travel destinations.

Day 1
Paris, France/Optional French Cabaret Dinner & Show

This morning, disembark ship and transfer to your Paris hotel, where your Program Director will lead a brief orientation tour.

Today, use your included Metro pass for independent exploration. Perhaps you’ll trace the city’s past at the ornate Renaissance-style Hotel de Ville, built in the 14th century when Paris moved its location from two islands on the Seine to the mainland. Or you might explore the Place des Vosges, the city’s oldest square.

This evening, join a different optional outing for a lively French Cabaret Dinner & Show. You'll find out why this kind of theater has been celebrated for so many years—in both France and throughout the world. The price of this tour includes dinner, a cabaret show, and all transportation.

Or, enjoy an evening at leisure and dinner at one of Paris’s many outstanding restaurants.

Day 2
Paris/Optional Montmartre tour

Enjoy a full day on your own to explore Paris in depth.

Or, join an optional half-day tour of one of Paris’ most famous and lively districts, Montmartre. Visit the famed Basilica of Sacre Coeur, with its dramatic perch on the top of the Montmartre hill. Delight in the views of Paris below, and spend some time exploring the charming streets of this romantic neighborhood. Watch the street artists at work or browse the local shops for some souvenirs to bring home.

Or, your day is at leisure to explore Paris on your own.

Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own in one of Paris' many fine restaurants.

Day 3
Paris

Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Paris on your own. You may want to visit the Musee d’Orsay in more depth, known as much for the building in which it is housed as for its superb collection of Impressionist, post-Impressionist, and Art Nouveau artists. In 1898, the architect, Victor Laloux, won a competition to build a new train station on the site for the 1900 Paris World’s Fair. The station was built in only two years and was operational for the Fair. The architect concealed the modern station with the facade of a classic stone hotel, creating a structure that naturally integrated with its elegant neighborhood. The building served a number of purposes after 1940, when it was no longer suitable for more modern trains. It was classified as a historical monument in 1976 and opened as a museum in 1986.

Join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Drink this evening before a final dinner on your own.

Day 4
Return to U.S.

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight home.
