There’s something magical about Britain and Ireland: Whether it’s the lush countryside of the Emerald Isle … the lively street entertainment of Covent Garden, an outdoor marketplace in London … or strolling through the center of Oxford—the “City of Dreaming Spires”—and former stomping grounds of scholars and writers, you can’t help but get caught up in the legends of this enchanting region.
That’s why it’s no surprise that so many Grand Circle travelers rave about their journeys to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. And here, Vince O. and Sandy & Chuck W. share some of the images they captured during recent trips to the British Isles …
Since returning from my tour of England, Scotland, and Wales, I have been sorting through my many pictures to create a slide show of the trip. In the past, I have only made this available to entertain family and friends during a special TV viewing event. This year, I decided to make the slide show available on a photo sharing website so that others could view and enjoy it, too.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip …
Joanne and Vince O. enjoy their visit to Stonehenge.
Llangollen, Wales, on the River Dee.
The ruins of a Benedictine abbey near Whitby, England.
The Roman baths in Bath, England.

Here’s a photo of our wonderful group from our Ireland in Depth tour last June. We enjoyed every minute of our trip—and what a great opportunity for “learning and discovery.” Our Program Director Marie Lucey was fantastic, and such a treasure. Thanks for everything.
