Sometimes, a picture really is worth a thousand words. No matter how hard we try to describe our favorite travel moments to friends and family—even if we use a thesaurus-full of adjectives—it isn’t always possible to convey the essence of our experience. That’s when a photograph comes in handy—and today, I’d like to share some of the snapshots I’ve received from Grand Circle travelers, which certainly speak volumes about their vacations.
Our first photo is from Sherrie A.—who made some special friends, indeed, when she joined us in South Africa.
One of the best times I’ve had on any of my 12 trips was walking with lions at Victoria Falls. I always enjoy meeting the local people and seeing what the Foundation is doing for them, but to be able to have contact with the animals is perhaps the most exciting part for me.

The charming city of Linz, Austria, was clearly a highlight for Sam B., who took the following photos while traveling aboard the M/S River Melody on our Old World Prague & the Blue Danube River Cruise:

Both Georgia G. and Marcia S. enjoyed the time they spent exploring the Emerald Isle on our Ireland in Depth vacation—as evidenced by the following pictures:
