"Home" for the holidays
My family and I opted for sand instead of snow this Christmas, heading to Barbados instead of the frosty New Hampshire woods. But it didn’t really matter where we celebrated the holidays—it just mattered that we were able to spend time together. After all, “home” doesn’t signify a specific address; as Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Where we love is home.” So wherever you happened to be for the holidays, I hope you found yourself at “home”—surrounded by laughter, peace, and love.
P.S. Have you made any travel plans yet for 2010? I'm excited about visiting Italy again next week—and I also hope to explore the Middle East (with my girlfriends) and Iceland (with Alan) this year.
