Girls Just Want to Have Fun
I love traveling with Alan and my children, but there are times I want nothing more than to explore the world with my girlfriends. In fact, I recently returned from a trip to Italy, which I try to make each year with my closest friends.
While hosting an event a couple of weeks ago, I learned there are other women who love to do exactly the same! I was reminded of the popularity of this growing trend by the inspiring number of women who braved the cold and early morning snow flurries to attend a special Women Travelers event in Harriet’s Corner in Boston. It was a fun day celebrating those who are passionate about exploring new destinations.
One of the best things about traveling is what happens after we return home: Sharing our adventures and favorite memories with family, friends, and anyone within earshot that will listen! And that was exactly what this event was about. As I looked around, it was so rewarding to see the sheer enthusiasm that surrounded me—enthusiasm each person had to meet one another, share their travel experiences, and connect based on a common love to explore new places.
